01

Begin with facts

The D1 chart displays each sidereal graha longitude in its rāśi and whole-sign house. Begin by confirming Lagna, graha signs, house numbers, nakshatras, speeds, and the calculation profile. Interpretation should not start until those facts are stable.

02

Read in layers

A useful sequence is Lagna and its lord, luminaries, house lords, graha dignity and state, conjunctions and dṛṣṭi, then broader patterns. This order prevents one dramatic yoga or keyword from eclipsing the basic structure of the chart.

03

D1 remains the foundation

D9 and D10 add a different mathematical lens, but they do not replace the D1 chart. Any advanced synthesis should be traceable back to D1 conditions and should state when a later varga strengthens, complicates, or does not support the initial reading.

Apply it

Practice on a chart

  1. Open the sample chart and identify the facts used in this lesson.
  2. Explain the rule in your own words without turning it into a prediction.
