01

The house framework

Bhāvas organize the chart into twelve areas counted from Lagna. In the whole-sign system, the entire Lagna rāśi is house one, the next rāśi is house two, and so on. The precise Ascendant degree remains important even though it is not used as a cusp inside the sign.

02

Topics are not outcomes

Each house groups traditional topics, but a graha occupying that house does not produce one automatic event. House lordship, dignity, aspects, conjunctions, vargas, and timing determine how a rule is weighed.

03

Read the lord as well as the occupant

A house can be empty and still significant. Its rāśi has a planetary lord, and that lord's placement connects the house to another part of the chart. This is why Astrolife exposes house lordship and dispositor chains instead of highlighting only occupied houses.

Practice on a chart

  1. Open the sample chart and identify the facts used in this lesson.
  2. Explain the rule in your own words without turning it into a prediction.
